A personal fitness trainer has been jailed after murdering a successful businesswoman on their first date. Miss Beagley, a 32-year-old manager for Centrica, had 31 stab wounds to her face and neck when her naked body was found last May.
Cheers erupted from the public gallery when the Old Bailey jury returned a guilty verdict against Karl Taylor after just two hours of deliberations. Taylor was given a life sentence and told he will serve at least 30 years behind bars.
