HB 1592 has languishing in the House Judiciary Committee since 2007. Many believe it will be passed if the Democrats get a majority in the House.
According to the American Family Association
H.R. 1592 is ultimately a Thought Crimes law which aims to silence biblical Judeo-Christian speech and beliefs about homosexuality and “transgenderism.”
