7 blacks sue Houston fire department. Demand free ride.

Seven black Houston firemen, who failed to meet qualifications for a promotion, are suing the city. They claim that since they are black, they should be promoted anyway despite failing a multiple choice test.
The Houston fire department already altered the promotion procedure in 2005 to make it easier for blacks with seniority to jump ahead of better qualified whites with little or no seniority.
Houston’s left-wing newspaper, the Chronicle, blamed everyone but the firefighters themselves.
The seven firefighters want promotions, back pay, and unspecified damages.
