You would think that openly Marxist Independent Senator from ultra-leftist Vermont Bernie Sanders would be thrilled with the Federal Government right now.
Sanders blew a fuse during a Senate hearing when Sanders called for Obama to make good on his campaign promise of more government transparency. He demanded a full disclosure of the $2.2 Trillion in taxpayer backed loans given out by the Federal Reserve Bank last year.
Fed chairman Bernanke responded that disclosing that information would be “counterproductive.”
Sanders then sought out Obama’s tax evading Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner. When asked, Geithner simply referred Sanders back to Bernanke.
