Obama re-writes Leif Erikson Day proclamation.

In 1964 Congress dubbed October 9th as Leif Erikson day. Since then, each year the president signs a new proclamation re-affirming October 9th as Leif Erikson Day.

However, this year the proclamation changed. Previously the proclamation honored Leif Erikson, America’s relations with Scandinavian countries, and Americans of Scandinavian descent. Obama’s new version seems to be a pro-immigration propaganda piece.
