“Racist Facebook Threats” turned out to be another hoax. Perp slapped on wrist when found to be black.
The story of the so-called “racist facebook threats” was reported in numerous newspapers. A facebook user was said to have been arrested for saying he was going to kill black people in retaliation for the election of Obama. However the perp turned out to be a black 20 year old former student at Nicholls State University in Mississippi. The press immediately ceased all mention of the case once they knew the race of the perpetrator.
The perp faced years of hard time. Instead he got 150 hours of community service and has to attend a racial sensitivity course.
Had the perp actually been a white person it would have continued to be a major news story and netted serious prison time.
