The Color of Suspicion

Is it appropriate to pay extra attention to young black males for fear that they may commit a crime? Should people avoid young black males, particularly groups of young black males, for their own safety? If you lower your guard around young black males and give them the benefit of the doubt, will that make you more likely to be a victim of a crime?

“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved…. After all we have been through. Just to think we can’t walk down our own streets, how humiliating.” – Jesse Jackson, at a conference for the Rainbow/PUSH coalition Chicago 1993.

Photo:  Black mobs, angry over a refusal to play rap music, began violently attacking random white people at the 2001 Seattle Mardi Gra festival. Several white males and females were badly injured. Kris Kime, a white male, was savagely beaten to death. The few perpetrators who were arrested were slapped on the wrist. Would a greater fear of black males by festival planners, police, and the general public have prevented this mayhem, violence, and murder? (By fear I mean a healthy fear instinct that prompts a person to take appropriate precautions or avoid a dangerous situation.)

I don’t think we should FEAR black males, I think we should put a great deal more thought into DEFENDING OURSELVES from the predations of black males.

Any reader of this website who doesn’t carry concealed is partially culpable for whatever violence is perpetrated against him by the more savage and violent elements of society…

    1. Not unless the non-black people are armed with a CWP. However, if they had a greater “fear” than no white people would ever show up to functions like this peroid.

    2. No. I firmly beleive the only answer is complete seperation from them.

You know…I think that might be the only honest thing I’ve heard the “Reverend” Jackson say…course, I don’t pay much attention to him tho…..

His name was “Kris Kime”, not “Christopher Kline”. Otherwise, good article.

Our survival instincts dictate that we avoid danger, and associating danger with black males is NOT prejudice, it is EXPERIENCE. You don’t have to turn on the local 6 o’clock news that often to see what age group and ethnicity is commiting the crime in your community. By now, it is an established FACT. Still not convinced? Take a survey of the prison population in your state. Regardlesss of the state, or prison, the prison population is predominantly BLACK, and it’s NOT a coincidence.

    Rocco Webster Says:

Fear is definitely not an option. Prepare and defend yourself at all cost. Arm yourself and possibly take self defense classes. When you find yourself in a situation involving black people, or any other possible threats, stay on the offense. Aid others that may be vulnerable or need help. White people need to take action and react as black thugs do. Defense in numbers.

Whites should not fear African Americans. Why should White people ‘huddle’ in a corner?

White people should aggressively defend themselves and confront the NAACP on their doorstep!

Pastor Manning said that “…black folks have a chip on their shoulder. You should knock that chip off.”

I wonder if similar circumstances caused White people to rise up and burn down towns like Rosewood?

@Earl P. Holt – Getting a CWP is not always easy depending on which state one lives. I know. I got turned down three times because I did NOT have a “valid” enough reason for the state! The state in which I live in is ONLY one of three that does NOT have the right of self-defense written into the state constitution and never did. And they keep denying that it be written in by amendment. Love how the state claims the 10th Amendment when convenient.

I did not give up. I hired a lawyer and claimed a violation of my alienable rights endowed to me by my creator and that they were denying me the right of self-defense under the 2nd Amendment as prescribed in the Constitution. Most people would NOT do what I did either. Most will lie down and take a no the first time and walk away because they don’t have the time or money (not that I did) to peruse the case. And the state gets to pay my lawyer bill now. Matter of fact the case did hit the local media and papers in the state, I don’t think it went nationally because it might cause other people do the same.

Until the day I was granted a CPW I did carry miltary grade mace, knight stick and long steel John Deer flash light that holds 6 D batteries in my car, which I still do carry. I am a woman and a minority in my county thanks to self-hating white liberals!

Dear heart, the Creator endowed you with IN-alienable rights, rights which are In-divisible (cannot be separated) from your being. I knew what you meant, but this is a very important distinction.

    Former Seattle Resident Says:

Kris Kime did not just get savagely beaten to death.

Kris Kime was killed because he was defending a young white woman who was being beaten by a pack of blacks.

Kris Kime is a hero and a martyr.

“The Mardi Gras riots of February 28, 2001, claimed the life of a Good Samaritan, Kris Kime, 20. Kris Kime was killed as he was trying to save a woman’s life from the angry mob. He was trying to help a stranger.”

“Kime was bending over to help a young woman who was lying on the ground and being attacked. As he bent over, he was struck on the back of his head by Jerell Thomas. He fell onto the pavement and struck his head again. As he lay there, other rioters began to kick him. His friends and others surrounded him to protect him.

As he lay dying in the streets, police officers stood on the sidelines and watched. His friends ran to the police and asked for assistance. The police were instructed they could not enter the riot zone, so they did not intervene. Off-duty fire department workers and his friends carried Kris out of the zone onto a nearby street. He was placed in a police vehicle, driven to Harborview Medical Center, and placed on life support. He died later the following night. The cause of death was listed as resulting from a fractured skull and subdural hematoma.”

    Dear Global Minority:

God bless you for your perseverance!

Btw, the NRA might well have assisted you in your pursuit of a CWP in whatever God-forsaken state or area it is that you reside.

Also, the benefit of violent crime deterrence for women is three times the deterrent benefit to men, according to the most comprehensive study ever done on violent crime and concealed-carry permits, the “Lott-Mustard” study.
