Speakers urge violence and murder at Occupy rally in DC
The latest rally from the Occupy movement included speakers from the Black Power movement and violent race war rhetoric.
The Occupy movement had an “Occupy the Justice Department” rally in DC. The rally was held by Occupy DC, Occupy Philly, and several free Mumia groups. Actor Danny Glover made a commercial for the rally on youtube. Chuck D, a big name rap star from the 80s and 90s was a speaker. Malik Zulu Shabazz and uniformed members of the New Black Panther Party were in the crowd.
It looked like a black power rally with a large number of white drug addicts in attendance. Many people waved the black nationalist flag and chanted slogans full of profanities. People also had banners advertising Communism and Marxism.
A speaker tells the crowd that marches don’t work and killing people would be more effective. He then proceeds to “rap” about a fantastical version of the Trayvon Martin shooting that contains numerous major factual errors.
The Keynote speaker was Pam Africa. She singled out the leader of the New Black Panther Party in crowd and urged everyone to give him a round of applause.
Activist Pam Africa closed out the event on Pennsylvania Ave. with a rousing speech encouraging people to cast out in vengeance against the “M***er F***er“ who ”blew the brains out of a brother.”
“Don‘t push for nothin’ you ain’t prepared to do,” Africa lamented. “I have yet to pick up a paper and see where somebody has dealt with a situation where some m***** f***** took aim and blew the brains out of a brother.”
Africa followed up with a call for action: “We cannot be up on stage talkin’ s**t, that you gonna do something that never f***ing materialize.”
