Black Power militant on city council to run for mayor of Jackson
Chokwe Lumumba
Could we see the elevation of a black power militant to the level of mayor of a major US city? Chokwe Lumumba is currently the Jackson, MS city council member for ward 2. He won his city council in 2009 with 61% of the vote. His victory was huge news in all the black power publications and websites. He just announced that he will be running for mayor of Jackson, Mississippi in 2013.
Chokwe Lumumba is the chairman of New African Peoples Organization. This is a Marcus Garvey style group and seeks to create an independent black nation in the deep south. He is co-founder of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement. This groups was a co-sponsor of the recent “Occupy the Justice Department” rally in DC. At least two of the speakers called for violence and murder. The phone number for the Jackson, MS chapter of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement is the same phone number for the Lumumba city council campaign. Lumumba has referred to himself as a “citizen of the Republic of New Africa.” He was a member of something called the “Black Legionnaires of RNA” in the 70s.
In 2010 Chokwe Lumumba was a speaking at a conference for the New Black Panther Party in Atlanta.
Lumumba is also a major “reparations” activist. “We’re seeking reparations for abuse. We’re seeking reparations for abuse as a nation of people. Our statute of limitations has not run out. The statute of liberation is running right now at this very moment today.” – Chokwe Lumumba

I, too, am in favor of creating an independent Black nation in the deep south. The deep, deep, deep south.
Tierra del Fuego would be my first choice for the location, but I would be willing to compromise on Columbia.
May 3rd, 2012 at 10:29 pmChokwe Lumumba is right that reparations are in order. However, it is Blacks that owe Whites reparations for obvious reasons. The problem is finding a sufficient number of gainfully employed Blacks with enough money from which to collect. I suppose they could return their government handouts. As for a Black nation, there already is one nearby to send him: Haiti. Plus, he can work on his tan there.

But while blacks may not be too smart, they are not stupid, and understand that apart from whites and white welfare, they would all revert back to their indigenous savage African state. And that would mean no more freebies.
Liberal whites are the best thing ever going for blacks.

When you extract slavery from America, and Europe and the Americas’s, society, you will have two third less than what you see today. Essentially they owe us the countries. Chokwe Lumumba will make the best mayor Jackson, Mississippi has ever had.
