Victory in South Carolina!

The South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee held a full committee hearing on the resolution to affirm state sovereignty under the 10th amendment. Twenty supporters of the resolution, including some CofCC members, showed up at the daytime hearing. We are happy to report that it passed 15-6.

Idaho resolution makes progress one day after being introduced!
An Idaho state rep introduced a 10th Amendment/State Sovereignty resolution into the Idaho House State Affairs Committee on March 3rd. The resolution was passed 13-4 by a House committee the very next day! It will now go to the full House for a vote. Read [...]

10th Amendment Resolutions Update.

Georgia is on board.
We have been informed by a loyal reader that a resolution was introduced into the Georgia State Senate on February 19th, 2009 affirming state sovereignty under the 9th Amendment, 10th Amendment and “Jeffersonian Principles.”
The resolution has six sponsors in the Georgia Senate.

State Sovereignty Movement, Update March 5th

It has been brought to our attention that Utah passed a 10th Amendment/State Sovereignty Resolution, as well as followup “Proper Role of Government” Resolution in 1995. This brings the total number of states who took action in the 1990s to four.

State Sovereignty Resolutions suffer setback in AR & NH

Today 10th Amendment State Sovereignty Resolutions were killed by the New Hampshire House and an Arkansas House committee. The NH House voted 60% to 40% against the resolution, while the Arkansas House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee voted 10-8 to kill it.

AZ House committee holds meetings on state sovereignty hearing.

South Carolina – A SC Senate subcommittee voted 4-1 today to send S. 424 declaring sovereignty under the 10th Admendment to the Senate Judiciary committee.
Arizona – On February 17th, the AZ House Government Committee held a hearing on a 10th Amendment state sovereignty resolution. The resolution, HCR 2024 passes the committee 6-3!
